This is Michelle and Damario at the Celebration of Champions in May 2007. He earned his angel wings today after a long battle with Leukemia. He fought hard to stay alive, but in the end he told his mom that he was tired and he wanted to go home to live with Jesus. He is free from pain and needles and hospitals forever.

That makes me sad. But what a relief for him. It seems so unfair when children are asked to suffer. I'm sure that someday it will all make sense.

Can't you just see Michelle there to greet EVERY person she's ever known that passes?! She wouldn't miss something like that for nothin! One of my favorite memories of Michelle is her running out to greet us whenever we pulled up to your house from Oregon. Didn't matter how late it was, she had that HUGE smile and came running with all the enthusiasm of a small child. That enthusiasm was never dimmed by age like it does with most of us. I miss her so much.
Wow, that is so sad. But like Kathy said, Michelle was definitely waiting there to greet him. I will never forget how she always wanted to make sure all of the kids at the hospital were comforted. What an amazing girl! My prayers go to his little boy's family.
