Today would have been Shannon's 26th birthday. Hard to believe. Rocky and I spent the day in the temple. It was the perfect place to feel close to our girls and find some comfort.
It doesn't seem possible that Shannon would be 26 years old. In some ways it seems like a long time ago and in other ways it was like yesterday. I am glad you could be in the temple on that day.
I didn't realize that she was born in January, and so close to Makenna's birthday (the 5th). It's hard to believe that she would be 26. But, I'm glad that you spent the day at the temple. There is no other place where you could feel closer to her, or Michelle.
You know, I've never seen this picture of Shannon. She really looks a lot like Rocky. Ahhh. It just sucks. There is nothing worse than losing a child. I look back on the days when Barry and I were so young, newlywed, and livin' on love...we had no idea what type of challenges we would face. I guess that nobody does. It's such a journey. At least we have the gospel, and the knowledge and comfort that it brings. But it's still hard. Thanks for posting this picture of Shannon. We've looked at it a million times. She was beautiful.

Isn't she a beautiful girl...I'm so sorry for all the heartache. I imagine there could not be a better place than the temple.
